About the author
Dr. Jean-Marc Lucas, DO, MA
Founder of Premeducated. Full-time COMLEX and USMLE tutor.
Dr. Lucas is an osteopathic physician and the founder of Premeducated, a physician-led board-prep company that runs one-on-one COMLEX and USMLE tutoring, a free Study Plan Builder, and a free Postpone Calculator.
He scored in the 99th percentile on COMLEX. Before founding Premeducated, he taught as a medical school professor and built the curriculum his tutoring team uses today. His one-on-one practice has logged more than 10,000 hours and runs a 94 to 98 percent first-attempt pass rate across DO student cohorts year over year.
Premeducated has partnered with osteopathic medical schools across the country, including A.T. Still University, Rocky Vista University, Western University of Health Sciences, and LECOM. Dr. Lucas has delivered in-person and remote lectures at several of these institutions, worked with full cohorts on board remediation, and supported individual students at dozens of additional schools nationwide.
The articles on this site are written and edited by Dr. Lucas directly. The methodology is the same one his one-on-one students follow during dedicated: structured timed question blocks, paired Anki review, weekly practice tests, and a daily schedule that mirrors test-day cadence.
